Individual treatments
Our team
At Thaulle Resort, you will be treated solely by qualified Ayurvedic doctors and therapists who have devoted themselves to holistic medicine and sustainability. Our head physician, Dr. Upul, is one of the most famous Ayurvedic physicians in Sri Lanka.
For more than 20 years, he has treated European Ayurveda guests. At Thaulle Resort, he has gathered an experienced team around him, and they are always approachable to all our guests. To ensure an ideal communication during your Ayurveda cure, we are happy to support you with translator services if needed.
Our Ayurveda center
You will receive all of your Ayurvedic treatments in the caring atmosphere of our Ayurveda centre, so you can relax completely and concentrate fully on the healing effects of your treatments. It is slightly secluded from the rest of the resort, providing a private garden. There, you can relax between treatments and enjoy the spectacular view of the adjacent lake.
Private therapy rooms:
The Ayurveda center consists of six private therapy rooms in which our doctor and therapists treat you in a personal atmosphere. Each room is traditionally but individually decorated, and includes an ensuite bathroom and shower.
Pharmacy:
Our Ayurveda center has its own pharmacy with a wide range of selected and certified Ayurveda medicines and herbs from our own garden.
Consultation room:
The doctor has set aside special areas for the preliminary examination and for all consultations ensuring the privacy, comfort and wellbeing of the client.
Yoga:
The Yoga Hall – a spacious, air-conditioned area situated on the topmost floor with a panoramic view over Lake Yoda.
Ayurvedic cuisine
Our chefs have received a special Ayurvedic training. The individual dishes are matched to the treatment plans of guests and their Doshas. Foods that fit your Dosha are easily recognizable by the coloured marks on their containers. We only use fresh fruits and vegetables that we partly grow ourselves, and our own herbs and spices. As beverages, we serve fresh fruit juices, Ceylon herbal tea and hot water, which has a beneficial effect on digestion, according to Ayurvedic teachings. From the restaurant, you have a unique view of the Yoda Lake.
Ayurvedic cuisine is part of our traditional holistic treatment concept. Just like the various treatments, it is adapted to the needs and ailments of the guest. The aim is to eliminate deficiencies and prevent physical and phycological stress. Accordingly, the nutrition plan is based on the dosha type of the guest (Vata, Pitta or Kapha). Fresh ingredients, especially fruit and herbs, play a very important role in Ayurvedic cooking. In addition, in terms of a balanced diet, we make sure that people eat all flavors at every meal. According to traditional Ayurvedic teachings, these are sweet, sour, salty, bitter, tart and pungent.
Medication
We only use certified Ayurveda medicines to treat our guests. Our doctor carefully selects and examines them. They come from the renowned, Sri Lankan government certified companies such as Siddhayurveda and Link. Medications are prescribed and issued based on the sole diagnostic recommendations of Dr. Upul.
We are your certified Ayurveda organic resort in Sri Lanka
This is based on a detailed examination of your needs and ailments by Dr. Upul, one of the most renowned Ayurveda doctors in Sri Lanka. In the seclusion of our separate therapy center, you can fully concentrate on the relaxing and healing effects of your treatment.
