A thorough initial consultation with the doctor, a cure plan that fits you, and medical guidance throughout your stay.
Since 2015 the Ayurveda centre at Yoda Lake has worked to one principle: every cure begins with a medical consultation, not with a list of treatments. Thaulle practises Ayurveda only, with its own pharmacy, its own herb garden and a team that is there for these cures alone.
Who looks after you
Medical guidance in German or English. Your cure is doctor-led. The medical team includes a German-speaking Ayurveda doctor and an English-speaking Ayurveda doctor with a university degree in Ayurvedic medicine (BAMS). They draw up your cure plan and adjust it for as long as you stay.
Therapists. They carry out the treatments in your cure plan and hold state-recognised Ayurveda qualifications.
Kitchen and service. The kitchen team cooks to Ayurvedic principles and follows the dietary guidance in your cure plan. The service team makes sure your daily routine fits your cure. The team speaks German and English.
Available every day. The Ayurveda team includes two doctors and nine therapists. Every day someone from the team is at the resort and available to you. Founder Thilak Wettimuni also accompanies guests personally.
Your consultations with the medical team
Initial consultation
On your first day the medical team takes time for you: what troubles you, what you want to achieve, what history you bring. Pulse diagnosis is used to assess your dosha type. From this your cure plan takes shape: which treatments in which order, which diet, which daily rhythm.
Consultations during the cure
Between treatments you speak with your doctor several times. If your body responds differently than expected, the plan is adjusted.
Closing consultation
At the end of your cure you discuss what has changed and receive recommendations for your time at home: diet, daily rhythm, exercise.
Your language
The initial medical consultation and all further consultations are held in German or English. Let us know in your enquiry which you prefer.
The Ayurveda centre
Six treatment rooms, each with shower and WC, herbal bath, inhalation and massage table. You only leave the room for the Ayurvedic steam baths.
Own Ayurveda pharmacy. The medicines for your cure plan are prepared in-house and are certified.
Garden by the lake. Most of the herbs used in treatments and medicines grow here. Between treatments you can rest here.

How long should a cure last?
At least 14 nights; the Health & Heritage programme lasts 28 nights.
