Getting to Thaulle Resort
International guests usually arrive via Bandaranaike International Airport. From there a private transfer via the Southern Expressway is recommended. The drive is considerably more comfortable than several changes with luggage.
The nearest airport is Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport – about 30 to 40 minutes from the resort.
With the Panchakarma cure the airport transfer is included from 10 nights – and therefore always, given the minimum stay of 14 nights. Current transfer prices for other cases are provided by Thaulle individually on request.

How far is Thaulle Resort from Yala National Park?
Yala National Park is only about 14 km from Thaulle. You reach the park entrance within a few minutes by car. Safari trips can be arranged easily through the resort – on request with an English-speaking wildlife biologist as your guide (at extra cost).
How far is the nearest airport?
The nearest airport is Mattala – about 30 to 40 minutes’ drive. From Colombo (Bandaranaike International Airport) allow around 3.5–4 hours via the Southern Expressway. A private transfer is recommended.
Is there a transfer to Thaulle Resort?
Yes. With the Panchakarma cure the airport transfer is included from 10 nights. In addition the resort runs a free shuttle to Kirinda Beach – 4× daily, no reservation needed.
Is the location very remote?
It is quiet, but not isolated – and that is precisely the therapeutic advantage. You stay directly on Yoda Lake and are still in Tissamaharama or at Kirinda Beach within a good 10 minutes. Yala is only a few minutes’ drive away.
Is there a pool at Thaulle Resort?
Yes, two infinity pools in fact: a lake-view pool at the resort directly on Yoda Lake and an ocean-view pool at Kirinda Beach, which you reach by free shuttle in about 12 minutes.
When is the best time to travel?
The region around Tissamaharama is good to visit all year round. Temperatures lie between 27 and 32 °C. Even in the monsoon months of April to June the area is usually spared heavy rainfall thanks to its geographical position.
Can I also take excursions during my Ayurveda cure?
Yes. The location combines quiet with short distances. You can experience your cure in a structured way and easily add selected excursions – a safari in Yala National Park (at extra cost), a temple visit in Kataragama or time on the beach at Kirinda.
