The classical Ayurvedic cleansing cure – medical, not wellness
Panchakarma is the heart of Ayurvedic medicine and has been practised for thousands of years. The term comes from Sanskrit and means “five actions”. It refers to five coordinated cleansing procedures that combine preparatory measures, selected eliminations, Ayurvedic nutrition, medicines and regeneration – with the aim of relieving the body in a targeted way and stabilising its inner balance.
At Thaulle Resort on Yoda Lake, Panchakarma is carried out exclusively under medical supervision. Every cure begins not with a treatment but with a medical assessment: on the basis of pulse diagnosis and case history, Dr. Upul decides which of the five procedures are appropriate for you and how intensive your cure should be. Not every Panchakarma cure automatically includes all five procedures – what matters are your symptoms and the medical assessment.

Doctor-led relief of the upper respiratory tract and upper digestive system – applied selectively where the indication is appropriate.

Targeted, gently prepared elimination via the bowel to relieve metabolism and digestion.

A medical enema for regulation and cleansing – one of the central procedures of the classical Panchakarma cure.

With over 25 years of experience and more than 3,000 European cure guests cared for, he provides medical guidance to German-speaking guests – a state-registered Ayurveda physician (BAMS, Ayurveda Medical Council), specialising in Panchakarma, on site year-round.

How long – and what happens in that time
The minimum stay for the Panchakarma cure is 14 nights. More time means greater depth – here you can see what to expect for each duration.
The minimum medical framework: medical assessment, an individual therapy plan, the five classical cleansing procedures, and up to five treatments a day. Noticeable regeneration of sleep, digestion and energy.
More time to stabilise. The therapy plan and nutrition reach deeper, the nervous system settles more lastingly – results carry further beyond your departure.
The most far-reaching effect. Ayurveda, culture & nature over several weeks, a considerably lower nightly rate (from €170) and room for complete recovery.

A Panchakarma cure is suitable for people seeking structured Ayurvedic cleansing and regeneration – whether for the first time or with prior experience. Panchakarma is particularly relevant for stress-related exhaustion, sleep problems, digestive strain, inner restlessness and the wish for deep regeneration.
